World Final Class

Michal Forišek

I have been doing competitive programming in some shape and form for about 25 years.

As a contestant I have two golds from IOI, one gold from ICPC, a bronze from IMO, five CodeJam World Finals (third place in 2012), three HashCode World Finals, and multiple other top placements in other contests.

As contest organizer I wrote multiple problems for the IOI (where I also served for 10+ years on the international scientific committee), ICPC, TopCoder, and many other national and international competitions. I have served as an analyst at many ICPC World Finals, I organized three CEOIs in Slovakia, I helped start the EGOI, and I have been the main organizer of the IPSC contest for most of its existence.

I have been a university lecturer for 15+ years but currently I'm taking a break from academia.

Steven Skiena

Steven Skiena is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Institute for AI-Driven Discovery and Innovation at Stony Brook University. His research interests include data science, bioinformatics, and algorithms. He is the author of six books, including "The Algorithm Design Manual", "The Data Science Design Manual", and "Who's Bigger: Where Historical Figures Really Rank", and over 150 technical papers.

Skiena received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in 1988. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a current and former Fulbright scholar, and recipient of the University of Virginia Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award (WahooWa!), the ONR Young Investigator Award and the IEEE Computer Science and Engineer Teaching Award. Letícia Freire Carvalho de Sousa

Sou estudante de Ciência da Computação na UFRJ e estou no fim da minha graduação. Participei da Maratona de Programação durante toda a minha trajetória universitária, meu time ganhou medalha de prata na nacional de 2021 e foi o campeão brasileiro na edição de 2022. Também atuei como vice-líder do Brasil na EGOI em 2022 e 2023 e participei da elaboração de problemas pra o Torneio Feminino de Computação (2022) e para Competição Feminina da OBI (2023).

Fernando Monteiro Kiotheka

Bacharel em Ciência da Computação e mestrando em Informática na Universidade Federal do Paraná. Ex-maratonista participante de duas finais nacionais e atual coach dos times da UFPR, coordenando o grupo de maratona Capimara UFPR. Professor da disciplina de Desafios de Programação na UFPR, instrutor na Escola de Inverno 2023 e setter da Fase Zero. No tempo livre, faz pesquisa na área de Sistemas Distribuídos e brinca de ser DJ de música eletrônica.

André Amaral de Sousa

Engenheiro de Computação pela POLI-USP. Participou da OBI durante o Ensino Médio, e também participou da IOI 2012, e durante a graduação participou da Maratona de Programação sendo finalista mundial em 2013. Atualmente é professor no colégio ETAPA, onde seu foco é treinar alunos para a OBI e IOI. Nas horas vagas gosta de criar problemas, ano passado foi setter na Final Brasileira da Maratona.
